Mother of the Saviour and Our Interior Life by Rev. Fr. Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange, O.P. Testimony by Steve Wood: "This is a stunning book about Mary – a book that’s just unbelievable! The author is considered the scourge of liberal 20th century theologians. That alone should make you eager to read this book! The author was a Thomistic professor of theology for 50 years at the Angelicum in Rome. He held the very first chair of spiritual theology in the history of the Church. And he was the director of John Paul II’s doctoral dissertation. In other words, he really knows his stuff. Let me attest that the doctrine about Mary in the first part of the book is as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar! Get your SCUBA gear on, because you’re going to go deep! The second half of the book will open up the wonders of Marian piety in a way that’s life changing. The second half is completely, 100-percent accessible: practical info you can use. And let me tell you this. The book stunned me. The book puts turbo boosters on St. Louis de Montfort’s teachings. De Montfort in his True Devotion insisted on the need for great saints full of grace and zeal to oppose the enemies of God who rage on every side. By their devotion to Our Lady, they’ll be nourished, led, sustained, and kept under her protection. He also predicted that they’d arouse many enemies but also accomplish many victories to the glory of God. I can’t imagine a Catholic not wanting this book. It’s profound. And you’ll grasp it! Mary will have a greater role in your life. The author is a master – an absolute master of the interior life. He helps you develop a Marian piety to strengthen you for the spiritual storm that’s now upon us."
